Ordering by part number is the fastest, safest way to buy excavator parts — but small mistakes in the number lead to big mistakes in the shipment. Here is the workflow we recommend to all overseas buyers.
1. Where to find the part number
- Parts book / exploded diagram — the best source. Kobelco dealers and many online catalogs publish these.
- On the old part itself — often the fastest way. Clean the part and look for the etched number.
- Machine nameplate — when the part number is unknown, the model and serial number let a specialist identify it.
2. Send the full context, not just the number
Always include: machine model (e.g. SK200-8), serial number, and a photo if you have the old part. The same part number can vary between production series, and serial numbers settle any doubt.
3. Beware of similar-looking numbers
One character changes everything: 0 (zero) vs O (letter), 1 vs 7, missing suffixes like "-P1" or "S1". If your handwriting is involved, type it out — and send the photo anyway.
4. Confirm condition and price before paying
