A hydraulic hose is the cheapest part on a Kobelco and the one most often ordered wrong, because a hose number is not one number. It is a base route code plus a variant suffix, and the last three or four characters decide length, fitting angle or end configuration. Our counter at Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. handles these enquiries every day, and the pattern is consistent: the customer quotes the first ten characters, the machine is down, and the hose that arrives is the right route in the wrong variant.
What a hose number is actually made of
Kobelco does not publish a public glossary for its numbering, so the honest way to explain it is by pattern rather than by rule. What we can show is what the numbers look like across the hoses we quote. A prefix block identifies the machine family and the document class the number was issued under; a middle block identifies the route in the parts catalogue; and a suffix identifies the variant of that route — the length, the fitting arrangement, or the revision. Two numbers that share eight characters can still be different hoses.
| Number recorded on our shelf | What it is | What the suffix tells you |
|---|---|---|
| YN52V01016R620 / R610 / R100 | Hose, same route family | Three variants of one route — order the exact suffix, not the base |
| YN52S00023P1 / YN52S00012P1 | Hose | Different routes entirely; the middle block changes |
| YN58S00009F1C | Hose | F-series suffix, a different document class from R-series |
| YR50V00004P1P | Hose | YR prefix — a different machine family, not a variant of YN |
| LC05P00043S032 / LC05P00043S002C | Hose | LC prefix belongs to the larger classes; the suffix still decides |
Assembly or bulk hose? The question behind the question
Half of the hose enquiries we receive are not really about a number at all. They are about whether to buy the factory assembly with crimped fittings or to make the hose locally from bulk stock and reusable fittings. Both are legitimate, and the choice changes what you should order.
- Factory assembly. Correct length, correct fitting angle, correct pressure rating for that route, and no crimping risk in the field. Slower to arrive, and the whole assembly has to be replaced when one fitting is damaged.
- Bulk hose plus fittings. Fast, and useful for a machine that is losing oil right now. But the crimp quality, the bend radius and the pressure rating become your responsibility, and a hose that is 40 mm too long will rub through on the first week of work.
For machines in daily production we normally recommend keeping one factory assembly per critical route on the shelf and using bulk hose only as a stopgap. The seal kit and hose guide covers how the two are usually paired in a stocked kit.
Four photographs that replace ten messages
- The hose tag or the number stencilled on the hose. Full number, including the suffix, in focus.
- Both end fittings. Straight, 45 degree or 90 degree, and which way the elbow points relative to the hose run.
- The routing. One wide shot showing where the hose starts and ends, so we can see whether it passes a joint or a clamp.
- The failure itself. A blister, a rub mark and a split at the crimp mean three different root causes, and only one of them is fixed by a new hose.
Why hoses fail early, and what to fix with the order
A hose that fails in months rather than years is usually reporting a problem elsewhere: a clamp missing, a route rubbing on the track frame, pressure spikes from a relief that is set wrong, or oil running hotter than the hose rating. Ordering the hose without the clamp and the anti-rub sleeve means you will order the hose again. If several hoses on the same machine fail in the same season, read the oil cleanliness notes before assuming the hose is at fault.
Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. records hoses on the shelf by full number, so a complete part number gets a real answer rather than a maybe. If you only have the machine model and a photograph, our part number search is the place to start, and the prefix guide explains what the leading letters mean. For multi-brand hose and fitting sourcing on the same shipment, our export site corbayparts.com consolidates Kobelco with Hino, Isuzu and other makes. Route dimensions for the machine itself remain with Kobelco.
Shenyue is an independent supplier and is not affiliated with Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. Genuine parts are supplied through original channels, and every hose is quoted as genuine, OEM or aftermarket before you commit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my Kobelco hose number not enough on its own?
Because a hose number has a variant suffix. Our shelf records YN52V01016R620, YN52V01016R610 and YN52V01016R100 as three variants of the same route, so quoting only YN52V01016 does not identify a hose. Send the full number, including the last characters.
Can you supply a Kobelco hose assembly with the fittings already crimped?
Yes. Factory assemblies are quoted as complete units with the correct length and fitting angle for the route. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. also supplies bulk hose and reusable fittings where a machine needs to be running today, and the quotation states which option is genuine and which is aftermarket.
What is the difference between YN and YR hose prefixes?
The prefix identifies the machine family the number was issued for, not the hose construction. YR50V00004P1P is not a variant of YN50V — it belongs to a different family. That is why we ask for the machine serial as well as the number.
How fast can a hose ship from Guangzhou?
Hoses recorded in stock leave the warehouse within days, and we photograph the actual hose with its number before packing. Odd suffixes and assemblies are sourced to order, so the earlier the full number reaches us the shorter the downtime.
