An SK200-8 that needs ten seconds of cranking and then runs on three cylinders for a minute is not usually a pump problem. It is an injector problem, and the giveaway is that the smoke clears once the engine warms. Owners often replace filters, then batteries, then the lift pump before anyone pulls the injectors. This guide sets out that order, plus the numbers that fit each engine family, so a quotation comes back correct.
Read the symptom before the invoice
Injector faults on these engines fall into a few recognisable shapes. Hard cold starting with white smoke that clears points to nozzles that dribble instead of atomising: fuel arrives as droplets, not mist, and does not ignite until the chamber is warm. A loping or hunting idle, where the engine surges rhythmically at low rpm, points to one injector delivering unevenly and the rail-pressure control chasing it. Black smoke under load with normal boost points to over-fuelling — a nozzle with an eroded seat passing more fuel than the ECU commands. And a single dead hole, felt as a misfire that disappears above 1,200 rpm, is usually an electrical or solenoid failure rather than a worn nozzle.
Four engine families, four numbering systems
The most common wrong-part claim we see is an injector ordered for "SK200-8" without an engine check. The SK200-8 uses the Hino J05E, but the same model badge has carried different engines across markets and years, and the numbers do not cross. What the stock records quote is this:
| Engine family | Injector assembly | Nozzle / related |
|---|---|---|
| Hino J05E | VH23670E0850 | nozzle seat VHS111761170 / VHS111761190 |
| Hino J08E | VH23670E0810 | as above, different body |
| Hino P11C | — | nozzle VH23670E0351 / VH23670E0520 |
| D04FR (SK130-8 class) | VA32G6100010C | nozzle VA32G6100020 / 0445120126 / VA32G6100010 |
Two warnings sit inside that table. First, the P11C line lists a nozzle, not an assembly — on the larger engines the injector is often serviced as a nozzle-and-holder set, and quoting an assembly number will send the enquiry down the wrong path. Second, the D04FR nozzle carries a Bosch-style number (0445120126) alongside the Kobelco number; both appear on our records for the same part, which is normal for common-rail nozzles and does not mean two different parts exist. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. quotes whichever number you send, and confirms the match against the engine plate before dispatch. The full fuel-injection range we stock is listed on the fuel injection catalogue page, and if you only have a number and no model, start at the part number search. Engine context for the 20-tonne class is on the SK200 page; the J05E and J08E families themselves are documented by Hino.
The seat and washer nobody orders
Injectors come back leaking at the base because the copper washer and the seat were reused. On the J05E/J08E family the nozzle seat is quoted as VHS111761170 or VHS111761190 / VH111761190A, and it crushes once, seals once, never again. The same discipline applies to the hold-down bolt. A rebuild that reuses these parts will pass a bench test and fail in the field within weeks.
New, reman or aftermarket
There are three honest options for a common-rail injector, and the price difference is real. A genuine unit carries the OEM number and the OEM warranty. A remanufactured unit is a genuine core rebuilt with a new nozzle and a new solenoid, tested to a flow curve, and it is the value choice for machines past 8,000 hours. An aftermarket unit is new manufacture to the same fitment, usually the cheapest. Whatever grade you choose, the quotation states which one it is — we do not let a customer discover the grade after the box arrives.
Coding is not optional
On common-rail engines the ECU holds a correction code for each injector, printed on the body or on a tag. Fit an injector without entering its code and the engine will run, often quite well, while the ECU applies the wrong correction and the cylinder runs rich or lean. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. flags this on every injector quotation, because a coded unit fitted without coding is a warranty argument waiting to happen. If your diagnostic tool cannot write the code, the injector is not the last step of the job.
Before you order
Send the engine plate photograph, the machine serial number, the number stamped on the injector body, and the symptom in one line. We reply within 24 hours with the number, the grade and a photograph of the actual unit. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. holds 3,000+ part types on the shelf and 100,000+ part numbers available to order through Kobelco, Hino and KPM original channels, and the fuel-injection line for the SK range is one of the deepest we carry. Email kobelco-parts@foxmail.com or WhatsApp +86-18144825432.
We are an independent supplier of Kobelco parts and not an authorized Kobelco dealer. We are authorized distributors for Mitsubishi, Garrett, TONGMYUNG, Marusan and NIKURA.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the Kobelco injector numbers for J05E and J08E engines?
Our stock records quote VH23670E0850 as the injector assembly for the Hino J05E, and VH23670E0810 for the J08E. Both are quoted by Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. against the engine plate, because the same machine badge can carry different engines across markets.
Can I fit an SK200-8 injector to an SK210-8?
Only if the engine plate matches. The SK200-8 and SK210-8 usually share the J05E family and therefore the same injector number, but machines built for different emission markets can differ. Send the engine plate photograph and the number on the injector body before ordering.
How do I know if my injectors or my pump are at fault?
Hard cold starting with white smoke that clears, plus a loping idle, points at injectors. Low power at full load with normal boost and no smoke usually points at rail pressure or the pump. A leak-off test on the injector return line separates the two in under an hour and costs nothing.
Do remanufactured injectors need coding as well?
Yes. Every common-rail injector, genuine or remanufactured, carries its own correction code that must be written into the ECU. A remanufactured unit from Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. ships with the code on the tag, and we will supply the number again if the tag is lost in transit.
