The twenty-tonne class is the machine most mixed fleets are built around, and the SK200 badge has covered a great many different machines over the years. The SK200-12 is the current China-market version of that class, and it is the first SK200 generation whose parts list is not simply a revision of the one before it. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. supplies this class daily, so here is what is genuinely new on the -12, what our records quote for it, and what has not changed at all.
What the SK200-12 is
The machine is a 21,400 kg crawler excavator on a 0.93–1.0 m³ bucket, and the power unit is the Cummins F4.5CS4145 — a 4.5 litre four-cylinder rated 108 kW at 2,200 rpm and certified to China Stage IV. That one fact drives most of the parts differences you will meet: the engine is not the Hino J05E that powered the SK200-8, so the filters, sensors, injectors and turbocharger around it belong to a different family.
The second difference is electronic. The -12 carries a telematics terminal for remote monitoring, a display controller behind the screen in the cab, and a separate machine controller — three boxes that did not exist in this form on the -8.
Where the parts book changes
| Area | SK200-8 (20 t class) | SK200-12 (20 t class) |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | Hino J05E family, VH-prefixed engine consumables | Cummins F4.5CS4145, 4.5 L four-cylinder, its own consumables and sensors |
| Emissions hardware | None on many -8 machines | Stage IV hardware and its sensors are standard |
| Electronics | Monitor, gauge cluster, discrete switches | Telematics terminal, display controller and machine controller as separate items |
| Hydraulics | K3V112DT class pump, GM38VB travel motor, M5X130 swing motor | Confirm every one of these from the component nameplate |
Read the last row carefully, because it is the row buyers get wrong. The engine and the electronics on the -12 are new in the parts system, and there is no ambiguity about them. The hydraulics are the opposite: the families were carried across from the earlier generation, so the number you need is the one on the component in front of you. Nothing on the badge tells you which pump or travel motor is fitted.
Numbers our records quote for the SK200-12
These are the lines we hold or source repeatedly for the -12, quoted with the machine class they belong to:
| Item | Number quoted |
|---|---|
| GPS telematics terminal | LV22E00080F4 |
| Monitor display controller | YT22E00238F6 |
| Main controller (machine computer board) | YN22E00967F6 |
| Controller | YT22E00187P1 |
| Cylinder head gasket | VW5345651 |
| Turbocharger assembly | VW5606654 |
The VW prefix on the last two lines is the useful signal. It marks the Cummins-sourced engine group, in the same way the VH prefix marks the Hino-sourced engine group on a -8, so it is a quick way to spot an engine part that will not cross over between the two generations.
What did not change
The undercarriage class, the bucket and pin sizes, the cylinders and most of the hydraulic piping carry over from the machines you already run, which is good news for a fleet that mixes generations. Track chains, rollers, idlers, sprockets, arm and bucket bushings and cylinder seal kits are still ordered by the number on the component. The safe rule for a mixed fleet is to treat every line as generation-specific until the plate says otherwise; four minutes with a phone camera is cheaper than a return shipment.
Ordering for a -12 the first time
Start with the machine serial, because a running change inside the series will move part numbers even when the badge does not. Then photograph the engine plate and the pump nameplate. For anything electronic, read the number from the back of the unit rather than from a catalogue picture. If you already know the number, the part number search resolves it fastest; if you are still identifying the machine, start from the SK200-12 model page or the SK200 model page and work outwards. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. reads the plates you send, the generational logic behind the badge is explained in our SK generations and nameplate guide, and the manufacturer's own product information is published by Kobelco Construction Machinery.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the SK200-12 a Stage V machine?
No. The China-market SK200-12 is certified to China Stage IV, and the emissions hardware and its part numbers follow the market the machine was built for. Two machines can share the SK200-12 badge and carry different aftertreatment parts, so quote the machine serial and the engine plate before ordering anything emission-related.
Will SK200-8 filters fit an SK200-12?
Not the engine-side ones. The SK200-8 ran the Hino J05E family and the SK200-12 runs the Cummins F4.5CS4145, so their fuel, oil and air filters sit in different families and carry different prefixes. Undercarriage and hydraulic consumables are confirmed from the component nameplate rather than from the model badge.
Which controller do I need if the display fails?
The display controller and the machine controller are separate items on this generation. Our records quote the monitor display controller as YT22E00238F6 and the main controller as YN22E00967F6. Read the number off the back of the failed unit and send a photograph — the two are not interchangeable and the machine will not run correctly with the wrong one.
How does Shenyue confirm a part for an SK200-12?
From the machine serial, the engine plate and a photograph of the component nameplate. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. has supplied Kobelco parts since 2007, holds 3,000+ part types on the shelf with 100,000+ part numbers available to order, and declares every line as genuine, OEM or aftermarket before it quotes.
