Kobelco SK200-8 Fault Codes: What A015, B013 and C012 Mean on the Monitor

A fault code names the circuit that failed the test, not the part to replace. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. explains the SK200-8 code families, the codes asked about most, and the order to work in.

A high pressure sensor of the type behind the B, C and D code families on an SK200-8. Signal faults on these circuits usually prove to be the connector or the harness, not the sensor itself.

A fault code on a Kobelco SK200-8 monitor is a starting point, not a verdict: it names the circuit that failed the test, not the part to replace. Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. reads these codes daily for customers with a machine down, and the costly ones send people straight to the controller when the fault is a connector.

Where the codes come from

Self-diagnosis watches the sensors and proportional valves of the mechatro control system. When a signal goes out of range the monitor shows the code and the fault history stores it with a time stamp. The service diagnosis screens show the live values behind the code — sensor volts and valve command milliamps — which is what separates a real signal fault from a threshold tripped once under load. Capture it first: the capture and service report guide sets out what to write down.

Reading the code families

The letter tells you which family you are in, and the family tells you what you are chasing. A codes are adjustment and controller data faults — usually a procedure, not a part. B codes cover the working-device pressure sensors: boom, arm, bucket, swing and travel. C codes are the pump pressure sensors plus the boom head and rod sensors. D and E codes are proportional valve output faults, F codes solenoid output faults, G codes engine speed input, H codes the potentiometers, I codes CAN communication, and K and R codes relays and machine-side electrics.

Common SK200-8 fault codes

"Where to look first" below is the order we would work in, not a parts list — the sensor is rarely first.

CodeWhat it meansWhat the machine doesWhere to look first
A015Engine A adjustment not performed or out of rangeRuns on default speed; work unaffectedRun the A adjustment, not a new part
A025Pump proportional valve B adjustment not performed or out of rangePump output does not follow commandRun the B adjustment
B013Boom raise pressure sensor open circuitBoom raise slows; pump emergency modeSensor SE-3, then harness CN-126F / CN-101F
B033Arm out pressure sensor open circuitArm out slows or loses controlSensor and connector before the controller
C012P1 pump pressure sensor abnormal outputPump control follows a bad signalP1 pump pressure sensor and wiring
F031Travel 1st/2nd speed solenoid output OFF fault or ground shortMachine will not shift travel speedSolenoid coil and wiring to ground
I111CAN1 communication receive faultSeveral systems report at onceData link wiring, connectors, terminating resistors

Two codes that are not a failed part

A015 and A025 appear most often after a controller has been replaced or adjustment data has been lost. The machine runs on default values: it works, but engine speed or pump output does not match the command, and another controller will not clear them because the A or B adjustment has to be run. I111 is similar — a data link fault, so the wiring, connectors and terminating resistors come long before any control unit. Swapping parts at these codes rarely moves the fault.

What B013 looks like on the machine

B013 triggers when the boom raise pressure sensor input falls below 0.1 V. The operator sees boom raise slowing, because the controller sets P1 and P2 pump proportional output to zero and drops the machine into pump emergency mode. Work it in order: read diagnosis screen B-1 (BOOM RAISE); swap the connector with an identical sensor elsewhere — if B013 disappears and another code appears, suspect the sensor; if B013 stays, the fault is in the harness at connectors CN-126F and CN-101F. Only when both are proven good is the controller worth discussing. The same sequence applies to B033, B073 and C012.

The parts behind these codes

High pressure sensors are the item most often needed: we supply LC52S00012P1 and LS52S00015P1 most often, and the low pressure side is commonly quoted as LC52S00019P1 / YW52S00002P1 / LC52S00011P1. Solenoid valve assemblies come up as LC35V00004F3 and LQ35V00007F1, the engine speed sensor as VA32G9000100, and a failed controller as LC22E00336F8 / LC22E00323F8. All are commonly quoted, not guaranteed: the same series changed numbers between build runs, so we check each one against the serial and mark every line genuine, OEM or aftermarket.

How we supply these parts

Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. is an independent supplier and is NOT an authorized dealer or distributor of Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. We hold authorization for Mitsubishi, Garrett, TONGMYUNG, Marusan and NIKURA. Kobelco lines are supplied as genuine, OEM or aftermarket through our own channels. We keep 3,000+ part types on the shelf with 100,000+ part numbers available to order, so a code arrived at with a serial number can usually be quoted the same working day. Send the model, serial, code and a photo of the diagnosis screen and Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. will match the part and grade the options. Our SK200-8 electrical faults guide covers the wider wiring picture, the parts catalogue lists the range, and www.excavatorpartsglobal.com is our main export site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a fault code mean the named part has failed?

No. The code names the circuit whose signal went out of range, which can be the sensor, the connector, the harness or the controller. Prove the cheap end first: read the diagnosis screen, swap the connector with an identical sensor, then consider the sensor or controller.

Can I keep working with a code on the monitor?

It depends on the family. Adjustment codes such as A015 and A025 leave the machine working on default values, so a shift can usually be finished. B and C pressure sensor codes put the pump into emergency mode, so functions slow down and the machine should be repaired before it is worked hard.

Will clearing the fault history make the code go away?

No. Clearing the history removes the record, not the cause, and the code returns as soon as the signal goes out of range again. The history is also your best evidence: the order in which codes appeared often identifies one wiring fault behind several of them.

How do I get the correct part number for my machine?

Send the model, serial number, code and a photo of the diagnosis screen. Part numbers changed between build runs on the same series, so we verify every number against the serial before quoting, and mark each line genuine, OEM or aftermarket rather than guessing.
